The Founding of Axx
Axx was founded in 2018, but the seeds of its beginning were planted many years earlier.
When I was a teenager, a prophetic word was spoken over my life: that I would go into all the world—to the four corners of the earth—to teach the Word of God and become a minister to ministers.
Over the next 40 years, God led me, blessed me and opened doors for me to follow His call upon my life. In time, that calling led to the founding of Axx—a ministry reaching into the four corners of the earth, with pastors teaching and equipping pastors.
How Do We Train More People for Ministry?
This is the question that has hovered over the call of God on my life for as long as I can remember.
As a local church pastor, I taught people the Word of God and encouraged them to discover their unique calling.
As a Bible college professor, I challenged students to dig deeper into Scripture and faithfully follow the call of God on their lives.
As a Bible college president, I searched for ways to provide training to pastors and leaders around the world who desperately needed it but could not afford it.
Now, as the founder of Axx, I am helping deliver free ministry training to pastors and leaders in 169 countries.
My lifelong ministry call has been to teach the Word of God and train more pastors and leaders for ministry.
I am convinced that we are living in a unique moment in history. World-class biblical teaching has never been better, yet access to that training remains severely restricted for many of the people who need it most.
Most pastors and leaders around the world cannot afford high-quality ministry training. Others live in places where persecution, limited technology, language barriers or a lack of suitable institutions makes training almost impossible to access.
Rising costs, educational debt, persecution, the shortage of quality non-English resources and the decline of traditional missionary training colleges have created enormous challenges for pastors throughout the Majority World.
Axx was founded to provide biblically based, effective and globally accessible ministry and leadership training for pastors, leaders and disciples.
In particular, we exist to provide free, high-quality Bible college training to pastors serving in poverty or under persecution.
We call this mission A Light on a Thousand Hills.
